I have been doing “art” all my life. From drawing on the inside covers of books (my Mother wasn't’t too happy about that) to doing pictures of horses and faces growing up. Then I had a wonderful art teacher at Hull High School, who took me under her wing and taught me to draw with pastels and charcoal. When I graduated she gave me my set of pastels that I used during classes. Something I still have and cherish. She also taught me to do portraits. (Something that I would like to get back to in the future.) Then I taught myself how to use oil paints and painted milk jugs and pictures, etc. Then, when I became a Mom, I had to put my paints away. I was just too busy. When the “kids” where in high school, I picked up my art work again, with a friend teaching me how to use watercolors. Another thing I’ve done since my teenage years is photography. Then, I bought a digital camera and it all took off from there. One of my favorite things is taking my camera and “getting lost for the day”. I often paint from the pictures that I take. I joined the Hull Artists Studio Connection in 1996-97 and from there I joined the North River Art Association, Weymouth Art Association and the South Shore Art Center. I’ve had several showing of my work, including the Hingham Library. My work includes Photography, Pastels, Watercolors and Acrylic.
